i'll start with the 50's, if you like 40's and earlier music, you're probably dead. personally I like late 60's, 70's, even 80's stuff, I'm not so hot on post 1990 stuff or pre 1965, but some of that 50's to early 60's stuff is cool too ! However to me you can't beat bands like Stones, Kinks, Doors, Beatles, Hendrix and so many more.

For 10 years I'd go with 1965-1975, but that's cheating !

I think it would be the 70's or 80's for me, when i was still young. I voted 80's.

Though I remember enjoying the Beatles ('57-'70), for one. And now more into the Stones ('62-?) & many others.

I think 1957 is a tad early for the Beatles, probably made it big more like 1964 ?

Stones about !962 seems about right.

Start Me up is like from the 80's.

They are my favorite band, seen them twice live

it's so hard to narrow it down to just a very few then you realize you left out Pink Floyd, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Talking Heads, Dire Straights and dozens more.

It's good to talk about something other than Corona

I listen to a lot of decades music.

i think the 80’s is the best and 2000’s is the worst

curious to see if anyone chose a decade in which they were over the age of 30?

so like a guy that was born in 1940 and now is 80, and likes 70's music ?

Go to California, you'll find such a hippie sort or a 1936 guy into late 60's stuff, or the reverse a hipster wannabe hippie that's 20 ish and digs the Doors and such

i’m just thinking that you listen to “new music” the most times when you are under 30 and have a lot more time on your hands. I like 80’s and 90’s the best as I would watch a lot of mtv and listen to music with friends and such.

well , for me at 56, born 11/63. I really didn't notice music until like age 7 or 1970 or so.

children don't really become human until about age 6 or so., IMO !

When I was a teen in the late 70's, early 80's, I was totally into 60's music, The Doors in particular, I was kind of a Stoner back then....

evacuating Connecticut for San Diego in 1982 changed things for me a lot, I learned to love fun bands like the Talking Heads, that I hated at first listen

I'm glad I made that move, and then Colorado, and Vegas, before coming back to Ct to care for my elderly mother, then getting married, now old and stuck here essentially.

I look at it this way, .....

life is like a football game, divided into 4 quarters

a man may live 80 years or so, maybe 45,55, 68,73,85, 95, or more ?

Call it 80, end of Q3 would be age 60, I'm 56 and think 72 is more like it., or 54

therefore I'm into the first couple of minutes of Q4.

I'm cool with that, I don't fear death, and don't want to live forever

life's been good ( enough) so far.... J Walsh

16 more years in decent enough health and just drop dead in my sleep around 12/ 2038, would work for me...OK, I stretched it a bit....

If I may flip it for a second, I started listening to a lot more country music in the 90’s and really enjoyed it. Still love 90’s country to this day (2000-2009 was good as well)
